Our current portfolio is focused around small-molecule drug candidates for treating Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and schizophrenia. One product (MCD-386CR) is a drug candidate, potentially first-in-class, currently in Phase I development for AD as a treatment for cognition/memory impairment and as a disease-modifying drug. MCD-386CR is also a potentially first-in-class do candidate drug for treating cognitive impairment in schizophrenia, currently preclinical. A back-up candidate for MCD-386 has been identified and is currently pre-clinical. Good progress is being made in drug lead optimization for powerful “next generation” drugs with enhanced disease-modifying potential.
